Foundation Licence Training Course & Exam

We have a couple of new members who have requested a training session and exam for the Foundation Licence. If you or someone that you know would like to sit the paper or have some (rather good) tuition please get in touch with our RSGB Registered tutor – Andy Morgan on 412711 as soon as possible.

We have not fixed a date for the course/exam yet, but it will be very soon. Cost of the Foundation exam is £27.50 and those sitting it must bring photo ID (of themselves!) there is no cost for the training, it is provised free of all charge save for a small donation for tea/coffee/biscuits!

The IOMARS is keen to promote and encourage the advancement of those interested in the hobby, so should you be interested in taking the first step towards speaking to other people around the world then this is an excellent opportunity to start in the world of Amateur Radio.

Foxdale Shack – Wednesday 3 April

Sorry for the late announcement, but once again the club shack is closed again this evening due to large accumulations of snow in the Foxdale area. Hopefully business as usual next week!

Richard has advised that anyone wishing to use his anaysler is more than welcome at his home QTH (bring your own biscuits though!)
