Merry Christmas from the IOMARS   1 comment

Hello all.
Firstly on behalf of the society committee may I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
.
The societies AGM took place on Tuesday the 11th December 2012. So that means it’s time to renew our memberships.
The year 2012 committee were re elected by those present at the AGM and will stay in post until the 2013 AGM.
The constitution was altered slightly to reflect the current position the IOMARS finds itself in (copy above).
Membership costs and a membership application may be found on this blog (above).
.
.
Don’t forget the  GD100RSGB special call sign. It will be in use on 19th, 20th & 21st January 2013 to help celebrate 100 years of the RSGB. We will operate from the Sea terminal Douglas. Contact Mike Dunning or a committee member for more details.
.
.
regards   Andy

SOLD Possible swap (I want an) FT897D for (I have an) FT817ND   2 comments

SOLD   I have an FT817ND, It hardly ever gets used as I operate from home 99% of the
time.

Would anyone be interested in a swap for an FT897? Exact details
would need to be ironed out. But basically I want rid of the 817 and want a 2nd  897.
It is boxed with case, peg legs, Kranker handle VFO knob (and original), portable BNC antenna, charger and
AA battery holder.

thanks
Andy

2013 IOMARS Calendar   Leave a comment

You may notice a new page link at the top of the menu… I have created a Calendar for next year which has been based on previous stations tht we have run and events attended. It is not a full list by any means, and will be constantly updated to reflect chages due to dates or venues being amended. For this reason, please treat it as DRAFT at all times. For full information contact the event organiser listed on the calendar…or why not come along to a club meeting? 🙂

The dates of all committee meetings has also been listed, so if there is anything that you would like the committee to discuss on your behalf, give the information to any committee member please bear the dates in mind.

Kranker knob for FT817 FT857 etc   2 comments

If anyone is struggling with big fingers / little VFO knobs have a look at the kranker design.  I have just fitted one to my FT817D and it has transformed the radio. One now ordered for my 857.
